Vertical Cartridge Filter Dust Collector

Gravity works in your favor with the Vertical Cartridge filters, allowing dust and debris to fall off rather than gathering on the cartridge’s filter media. VCFs are ideal for many applications where the dust is dry and free-flowing.

Dirty air is pulled in from ductwork, and particulates are captured. Clean air is pulled through the filter media and into the clean air plenum, then exits the collector and goes to the return air duct.

Dirty air is pulled in from ductwork, and the filters capture particulates. The clean air is pulled through the filter media and into the clean air plenum. The air then exits the collector and goes to the return air duct. Compressed air pulses into the filter, cleaning it from the inside out. The dust cake built on the filter is then knocked down into the grating below or a hopper.

FAQs – Vertical Cartridge Filter Collectors

What is a vertical cartridge dust collector used for?

Vertical cartridge collectors are designed to capture dry, free-flowing dust using pleated filter cartridges that provide high filtration efficiency in a compact footprint.

How does the vertical filter orientation improve performance?

The vertical configuration allows gravity to help remove dust from the cartridges during pulse cleaning, preventing buildup and extending filter life.

What industries commonly use cartridge collectors?

Cartridge collectors are often used in manufacturing processes that produce lighter dust loads, such as metal fabrication, food processing, plastics, pharmaceuticals, and powder handling.

How are the cartridges cleaned?

Compressed air pulses clean the cartridges from the inside out, dislodging the dust cake, which then falls into the hopper for removal.

What maintenance features are included?

Quick-open, tool-less doors and double-gasket sealing systems provide easy access for cartridge replacement while maintaining a tight seal during operation.
