Mercury Capture: Sly Impinjet Scrubber is an Integral System Component for Mercury Reduction in Cement Kiln Dust

As cement plants are tasked with drastically reducing mercury emissions, Mercury Capture Systems, USA (MCS) has developed an innovative process to accomplish that feat. The MCS proprietary process includes a Thermal Desorber and a Sly Impinjet Wet Scrubber Gas Reactor with a recirculating stream of reagent catalyst. The process allows mercury to be isolated as a solid particulate and eliminates the need for dust shuttling at cement plants. MCS is able to eliminate over 99% of mercury within cement kiln dust (CKD).

The MCS process can be applied to any industrial dust including coal fly ash, activated carbon, and clay. A recent trial has been successfully completed for a gold mining application.
